| Busoga Kingdom worked hard build an exposed and well trained human resource knowing well that its developement shall mainly depend upon its intellectaul out put. Immediately it education was introduced, the bent on a policy to educate sons and daughters of the soil through constrution of several schools and introduction of a Busoga bursary scheme to support the bright financially underprevilleged children. Many of them graduated in various capacities and the majority played a great role in the independence struggle.
Among the prominent and oldest schools to established by Busoga kingdom include Busoga College Mwiri and Buckley High School. Since then, several schools have evolved and form the foundation of the kingdom's development. Busoga College Mwiri established in 1903 evolved into Busoga University currently operating from CMS educational village in Iganga, while Namasagali College hatched Namasagali University. Buckley, Kiira College Butiki, Jinja college and Wanyange girls schools continue to serve the original objectives of their founders.
Several schools at all levels and institutions of different capacities strung up and new one continue to germinate throughout Busoga kingdom, some aided by the governement while others privately funded.
Among the university are Fairland university and several others, which run branches in Busoga forexample, Makerere insitute of Adult and continuing education and Kampala international University.
Institutions and colleges include; Kaliro National teacher college, Jinja school of Nursing and Midwifery, Crested Crane Tourism and Hotel Management Insitute and Wairaka Insitute of Technology. Teacher training colleges include Jinja teachers’ college, Bishop Willis Teacher's training college and Kaliro Teacher training college.
