Busoga must embrace ICT

The Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom Prof. Waswa Balunywa has urged the leaders in Busoga to encourage the people of Busoga to embrace ICT as an effective tool for development.

The Prime Minister emphasised that no society can anylonger afford to ignore the numerous benefits that can aclue from the use of ICT. He revealed that as a strategy for the Kingdom, his Government will persue aggresively the revival of the proposed Call Center establishement at Jinja.

The Prime Minister also explained that his new administration has identified the following areas as their focus:

Education - There is need to urgently address the education policy in the Kingdom so that the kind of education that is persued is one that will enable the children Busoga to be absorbed in the job market or create jobs for themselves.

Administration - There is need to restructure the Administration structures to make them accountable and effective in addressing the needs and aspirations of the Kingdom.

Culture - There is need to revamp our culture so that we are able to strengthen those practices that are progressive while deepen our norms that have been long held through centuries.

Health - We need to work on sensitising our people on safe health practices that will ensure good health to our people.

Agriculture - We need to encourage our people to practice sound and profitable agricultural practices that will ensure sustainable enviromental protection is adhered to while achieving maximum yields.
