THE INSTITUTION: Tribal wars in Busoga

There were several wars fought on Busoga land. However the most fatal war was between the Nubians and the British colonial officers. This is what is historically known as the Nubian mutiny of 1898. The rest were frictions between one chiefdom against another and their causes revolved around unfair treatment of subjects, land disputes and personal misunderstandings between the Chiefs.

The battle of Buyonja vs Bugabula
Prince Kagodha was murdered in an ambush; a ceasefire was reincarnated in Bulamogi and Bugabula.

Musuubo vs Kisiki at Bulago, Bugweri
Musuubo was exiled in Bugabula. From the Musuubo family tree emerged the a clan known as the Baise Musuubo

Battle of Kamirantumbu: Gabula Vs Tabigwa
This revolted over unfair treatment of subjects by the sadist Tabingwa.

Nubian Mutiny
Bukaleba - British Major Thurston was killed hence ensuing in a massive war.
